FAVORITE MOVIE
I really love A Silent Voice because it feels so real and emotional, and it actually makes you think about how your actions affect other people. The film is about a boy named Shoya who used to bully a deaf girl, Shoko, when they were kids, and later in life he feels really guilty and tries to make things right. It was directed by Naoko Yamada and made by Kyoto Animation, and you can tell a lot of effort went into making it feel meaningful rather than just entertaining. What I like most is how the movie shows emotions in a simple but powerful way like using close-up shots so you can really see how the characters feel or using soft colours and lighting to match the mood. There’s also this really interesting detail where "X" marks appear on people’s faces, which shows how disconnected Shoya feels from others. The editing is quite slow, which gives you time to really feel each moment, and sometimes there’s silence instead of music, which makes scenes even more emotional and also connects to Shoko’s deafness. Overall, I love this movie because it’s not just a story, it actually teaches important lessons about kindness, regret, and forgiveness and it stays in your mind even after it ends.
